Posted by
daiyen (Penang, Malaysia) on 23 January 2010 in Documentary & Street and Portfolio.

Brief translation...

Picture of my hometown, the old house where I was brought up, before I left my hometown for study and working in other cities/countries. These houses at Chinatown have hundreds years of history, but they were demolished 1 month ago, for city development.

Even though dad didn't say much, I know he is sad to loss the place where he has lived for more than 60 years.

I took these series of pictures, 3 months before this area was demolished... trying to capture some traces of my childhood.

@B. Thomas: Thanks Barbara. Taking photos, is the last thing I can do for my old house...

Very glad to see such a Chinese article which describe the past and today in your howtown! Very wonderful and just take it in your mind for ever! Bravo!

@flyingwind风飞扬: Glad that you like it. It's easier for me to express myself in Chinese when it involves my personal feeling. :)
